B-BP School Board Enters Into Energy Performance Contract
 Bayport-Blue Point’s Board of Education Tuesday voted to enter into an energy performance contract that is estimated to save the district more than $281,000, 30 percent, on its annual energy costs. ( Read More)

Island Trees to Install Energy-Efficient Measures
 The Island Trees school district recently announced a
contract agreement with Johnson Controls, Inc.
of Syosset, NY on a $5,046,697 energy efficiency
project. ECG Engineering, LLC. designed
the project, and will now oversee construction and verify actual energy savings for three years after
construction.

Commack School District - A Message to the Community from the Superintendent
At the September (2010) Board of Education meeting, it was announced that the District is embarking on an energy effficiency project known as Energy Performance Contracting (EPC). Sachem School Board OKs $16M Energy Savings Plan -
The Sachem school board has approved a sweeping $16 million energy conservation project that will bring about enough savings to cover the cost of the project, officials said. "I'm ecstatic," said Superintendent Charles Murphy. "Not only are we going to receive $16 million in building upgrades, but we are thinking green and clean energy."

Connetquot School District- Energy Savings Generating Interest
Saving money could be as simple as updating energy draining appliances for some school districts. And an 8-year-old provision in the New York State Energy Law allows for school districts to upgrade their facilities at no extra cost to the taxpayers in that district.
